 Beginner Camera Acting (7 – 10 years old)
This is a fun, hands-on, high-energy class that introduces your child to the basics of camera acting:

• Audition Preparation: what your child needs to know about auditioning for film, and television
• Commercial Workshop: your child will gain on-camera experience in different kinds of television commercials
• Improv: your child will gain confidence, explore imagination though improv games and learn to "think on their feet"
• Scene Study: your child will learn to make good acting choices while dealing with challenging scripts
• Monologue Work: your child will learn what to do when it is just "you and a camera"

Intermediate Camera Acting (7 – 10 years old)
Intended for the serious young actor, this class builds on techniques learned in ”Beginner Camera Acting”. Through scene study and monologues, your child will gain a greater understanding of character development, and will learn the day-to-day demands of the film and television industry.

• Audition Preparation: your child will prepare and perform a “mock” audition on camera
• Improv: your child will learn advanced techniques in thinking quickly, taking direction from film professionals, and learning to build character through imagination and improvisation
• Scene Study: your child will tackle difficult and challenging scenes for the camera
• Monologue Work: your child will learn to handle difficult monologue material and advanced techniques on preparing for "just you and the camera"
• Keeping Your Camera: your child will learn the basics of film and television etiquette (e.g. how to “hit your mark” and “find your light” on set)

Teen Camera Acting (11- 17 years old)
This eight-week class explores the dynamic world of camera acting through the use improvisation, character development and scene work. This class is for the serious student who is interested in pursuing an acting career.

• Audition Preparation: what to do in the audition room
• The Cold Read: what to do when you have no time to prepare for an audition
• Commercial Workshop: gain on-camera experience working on different kinds of commercials
• Improv: learn to think quickly, gain confidence, and develop character through improv games
• Scene Study: learn to make active choices, while dealing with challenging material
• Monologue Work: what to do when it's just "you and a camera"

Summer Camera Acting Camps!
Act One Studio is pleased to announce our fantastic summer programs.  Get ready for a fun week of on camera training.   Act One Studio seeks to prepare children and teens for acting in the film and television industry in a challenging, interactive environment.  Students will learn what is expected in the audition room as well as on set.  Our class curriculum includes: audition preparation, slating, script analysis, improvisation, scene study, and character creation.
