In February of 1982, the Firehall Arts Centre opened its first production. Since then the Firehall has developed a unique and dynamic character and is one of the most animated venues in Vancouver.
Every year over 35,000 people attend over 340 performances at the Firehall, making it one of the busiest venues in Vancouver.

2007 -2008

25th Anniversary Season

The season kicks off with a celebration on September 16th in honour of  the Firehall building's 100th birthday. From 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, the Firehall and the Vancouver Fire Department will host an Open House designed to showcase the contribution the building has made to our city both as a fire station and a theatre.  This is a free event which will include tours, historical films, antique fire fighting displays. The Vancouver Police Museum will also be open to the public and admission is free during this event.  Come on down and enjoy some birthday cake and raise a glass to the Firehall.

Leo

Presented by the Firehall Arts Centre

The Firehall Arts Centre presents Tarragon Theatre's hit drama Leo.  A story of passion and love in which three young people come to terms with sexual identity, politics and loss of innocence in pre-revolutionary Chile.

Performances nightly at 8:00 pm, Tuesday through Saturday.  Matinees Saturday and Sunday at  2:00 pm. Pay-What-You-Can performances on Wednesdays at 1:00 pm.

 

Stuff Happens

Join some of Vancouver's best stage actors as they read David Hare's masterful political play, Stuff Happens along with other works such as Talking with Terrorists, David Rabe's The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel and Streamers.

B.C. Buds, Firehall Spring Arts Fair

Dates to be confirmed

Creativity takes over the Firehall with dance, theatre and music filling up the nooks and crannies fo the heritage arts centre for the 4th Annual Spring Arts Fair.

Admission is FREE to all performances. Exact schedule to be announced.

 

bANGER - The Power Hour
